Who We Are
The Shelley A. Sockolosky Ovarian Cancer Foundation was founded in honor of Shelley A. Sockolosky, whose love, strength, humor, and generosity continue to inspire everyone who knew her.
Shelley’s life was defined by family, kindness, and showing up for the people she loved. After losing her to ovarian cancer, our family created this foundation to turn grief into action — raising awareness, supporting research, and helping others better understand ovarian and gynecologic cancers.
We are just getting started, but our purpose is clear: to honor Shelley’s legacy by helping create a future where ovarian cancer is detected earlier, treated more effectively, and met with greater understanding and support.
Why We Started
Ovarian cancer is often called a silent disease, but families know the impact is anything but silent. It changes lives, futures, and families. Through this foundation, we hope to bring more attention, more resources, and more urgency to a disease that deserves all three.
